SILVIO PORZIONATO

Biography
Silvio Porzionato (b. 1971, Moncalieri, Turin) is an Italian figurative painter celebrated for his monumental oil portraits of everyday people. Working from photographs of friends and strangers met in the street, he transforms fleeting encounters into powerful close-up images that transcend the intimacy of traditional portraiture to become striking icons of a shared humanity.
After graduating from art school, Porzionato spent a decade as a designer before dedicating himself entirely to painting, a choice that quickly led to international recognition. Since 2015, his works have been shown at major art fairs such as Art Miami, KIAF Art Seoul, Art Lima, London Art Fair, Contemporary Istanbul, Art New York and many others, as well as in exhibitions across Hong Kong, Miami, Chicago, London, Paris, Bogotá, New York, Seoul and Istanbul. In 2021, he was commissioned by Aston Martin in Milan to create the project 007 Portraits, inspired by the James Bond universe, confirming his position as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary portraiture.
