Miroir des Mondes II is a bronze sculpture by French artist Dominique Rayou, bringing together two stylised red apple forms whose profiles seem to emerge from the fruit itself. Facing one another in perfect balance, the two figures are connected by gilded lips, creating an intimate dialogue between the organic and the human. Through this unexpected transformation, Rayou explores some of the recurring themes of his sculptural practice: duality, attraction and the subtle boundary between the visible form and the human presence it contains. The deep red patina of the bronze contrasts with the luminous golden details, drawing the eye toward the point where the two figures almost meet.
