Giuseppe Scarangelli

GIUSEPPE SCARANGELLI  is an Italian contemporary artist born in Bari in 1997. From an early age, he developed a deeply multidisciplinary approach to creativity, exploring piano, painting, sculpture and photography. These different artistic languages gradually shaped a distinctive visual vocabulary combining classical references with contemporary artistic research.

His artistic journey is also characterized by a close relationship between art and psychology. Scarangelli holds a degree in Clinical Psychology and worked as a behavioural and cognitive therapist with autistic children. This experience had a profound influence on his practice, strengthening his interest in perception, non-verbal communication, emotion and the subtle dynamics that shape human relationships.

Within his paintings, matter becomes an extension of this inner exploration. Through expressive gestures, layered textures and fluid compositions, Scarangelli seeks not simply to represent the human body, but to capture its presence, rhythm and emotional tension. Forms appear and dissolve within the painted surface, creating a constant dialogue between figuration and abstraction.

His practice focuses particularly on notions of relationships, interdependence and embodied presence. Faces and bodies become starting points for exploring what connects individuals, what can be communicated without words and what often remains invisible within human experience.
