André Nadal

André Nadal

Biography

André Nadal was born in 1952. In his early twenties, after completing secondary education in industrial drawing and then attending the School of Fine Arts in Perpignan, he turned his focus towards interior architecture. In 1982, following numerous trips, notably to the United States, he decided to devote his time to painting.

He splits his time between his two studios in Paris and Tarn, in the south of France. His artistic expression, which is very minimalist, focuses primarily on black and white. These two colors, depending on their matte or glossy finishes, combined with meticulous brushing and smoothing techniques, convey a three-dimensional world.

His pictorial universe is composed of cubes, calligraphies, compressed feathers, and floating objects. The zen and dynamic aesthetic of André Nadal leads us into a contemplation that soothes and stimulates the mind.
